Ad spec for a newspaper?

  I have to create an ad for a newspaper, which I've never done before.

  First, how am I supposed to deliver the file? As an EPS? TIFF?

  My boss said it should be "85 pixels, whatever that means". Isn't 85 pixels/inch too small a resolution for a newspaper?

  85 pixels wide probably. I given newspapers jpegs before and it's been fine. I would do the ad in a couple of different standard formats, should be fine.

  I work for a few newspapers and we generally like tif's. just do it at 300 dpi. all you really need to know are the dimensions after that.
