There are no guarantees in life.

hah thats not true anymore. youre talking about art center. a lot of people hate art center kids and it doesnt guarentee your spot anywhere unless maybe you do product design which is what theyre famous for. art center breaks a lot of people.
i know some advertising kids graduating from there next year and they have NO IDEA how to get a job or even where to start. man sooo sad.
sorry if im stepping on ex art center students here.. but that place doesnt impress me.
steadyvibe do your research. its not a school geared for web designers. you need to go to cal arts. art center puts their money into product design.

art center is also extremely expensive so hopefully youve got scholoships or rich parents. if youre not ready to crack the whip on yourself and go well you'll just be wasting a whole lot of money and your parents will put you up for adoption.

THANKS, now.. anyone got any ideas about how i can get a job in california if i live in canada?
- modulate0
i'm going to calarts for a mfa in design in the fall.
i wouldn't say they are that good at web design, but they are tops in graphic design and making you use your brain.
expensive as shit though. but you gotta pay to play. the loan man can't get me when i am dead.

ask evil pupil. he's a canadian that worked here for a while.
all i know is its harder and harder to get a work visa here and you have to have some company sponsor you. and the company i think has to go through a process of paperwork stating that they couldnt find anyone in the us that can do the job they need you to do.
is easier to do once youve got some experience i would assume. my boyfriend's company hires a lot of forgieners. but they havent been able to do it as much these days.

damn, i was thinking oof moving down there. i only live in Brritish Columbia Canada. I hoped it wasnt to difficult but blah!!! i have some experience.. alot actually. but i want to live in cali!!! how do i fod a job in california while i am here??
- shellie0
start contacting design firms and see if theyre hiring and if they would be willing to sponsor you... or even if they do that.
from what ive head from my boyfriend they make it pretty difficult to do that. it takes jobs away from us citizens.
ask evil pupil maybe he can give you some insight or advice.
