see how this dude has taht little rouch black line around him? http://www.veer.com/results.asp?…
i need a quick way to fake that in pshop - i know ive done it b4 now i forget :.. (

Couple ways to go about that, I guess I'd mask him out, make a drop shadow that really thick then do either a bit of grain or noise maybe or take it into another temporary document, and convert it to bitmap mode to get a nice dither pattern thats dot based... then bring that back into the pic of the guy, and voila.... yeah... that'd be my first methodic try....

oh man now i feel wicked stupid - i just used the little effects - outer glow - and u can add noise to it :P duh!

maybe have two layers of that dude. fill one with white and fill one with black. place the black one below the white one. use ctrl+t on the black layer to expand it a little so that you can see thick black outlines outside of the white layer.
then change the the mode of the black layer to "dissolve."
worth a shot? i am sure there are better ways to do this but this is all i can think of on a hungry stomach.

atomica is apparently not hungry and can obviously think better than i can :)

Yeah, lots of ways some easier then others.... so I guess its all makiaveli, 'the ends justify the means' I like the use of layer dissolve, I hardly use that, but this is definitely the situation for it....
