good evening my NT brethren...
If any of you kind of out there have a couple of minutes to constructively criticise some new logo I am working on, please have a butcher's at:
and let me know your thoughts. Very early days...been working on them about an hour...it's for my own portfolio site...
I'm hoping that the darker blue middle of the 'F' makes you think of a pixel?
Thanks....

And now...my 2 cents. since it's called pixel fascination maybe you could make it with tiny blocks. Throw like a mosaic filter on it. That's the easy way out but worth a shot.

yeah thanks - I wasn't sure I wated to go that route as I find it a bit cheesy but what teh heck - I'll give it a shot....

yeah cheesy but effective. A good logo is a reflection of what it is representing. Or so I've been told

i like it alot - esp the one with the baby drop shadow... - but it doesnt look pixel-y & i dont think i'd try to make it look pixel-y the name and the look of it kinda reminds me of a toy or a amusement park or something - which it sounds leik teh section of your sit ei s right?

U could make only one of the letters pixelated.

I don't like the one with the black outline, but the other two are nice!
- jevad0
damn taragee - can you translate the last part of that post to engrish?
^_^

I like 2

I like the one with the drop shadow, too.
I'd pass on the pixel look, it's kinda old.
Cool logo, it goes beyond the 'pixel' meaning, into something more modern/contemporary. Demonstrates evolution and willingness to change. If it were done literally with pixels I'd think you were stuck (if I were an over analyzing client).

Although I don't mind the black outline because it shows that you are trying to rap the 'P' around a bit more clearly
- jevad0
thanks guys n'gals...

i like the one without the black outline best, the 2nd one in.
the latest one is pretty cool too. may need to clean up the inside of the p a little..looks a little rough. I keep thinking transportation as I look at it but maybe that's just me. :)
- jevad0
thanks deanna - just noticed the inside of the p - very nasty!!

i was sayin what mbr said basically :P i cant type so good haha

a lot of the more objective criticism has been made. so this is completely sunjective: I've seen this logo many times over, nothing really new about the aproach to the identity. To me, its stale and doesn't communicate anything (which is ultimately more important than stale).
Perhaps an identity with more "content," something that aims to communicate something or provide a connotation or raise an emotion, etc...
just me

it's very common.. i've seen this logo dozen of times..
inverted letters..
nah : there is no message whatsover there..
and i don't like the colors..hmm >> sorry.. i'm beign honest
- ********0
i do not see any relevence to pixels? vector fascination maybe...
- jevad0
thanks for the crits - I like the colors just fine thanks...hmmmm...maybe it is quite similar to some others in the past...but then I wasn't setting out to reinvent the wheel!
: )
