I have made a flash movie and just added a new Loader scene to load the other part of the movie. For some odd reason It has affected the way the other scence works making it behave in a constant play mode. Any ideas why it would even effect it?
Please helpidge thanks

are you missing a stop action somewhere?
- sunk9760
nope, if i change the scene order or delete the loader scene it behaves as it should, even if the loader scene is empty it causes the other scene to work wrong.

when you publish is is top down or bottom up?
would that effect it?do you have a diff. preloader?

Let's see the code you're using for the loader.

just uploaded two versions the first without loader at : http://cgi.sunkmedia.plus.com the second with the loader.. http://cgi.sunkmedia.plus.com/mo… check the difference when you click the sunk media large text

its not the loader code thats the problem is the positioning of scenes its so odd!

I still dont' understand what you mean.

check the two movie clips, click a link on them both like portfolio so it expands, then click the SUNK MEDIA text, and look at the difference in behaviour all because the second one has two scenes.

Post a fla, it's much much easier. I do see what's wrong now tho.

http://cgi.sunkmedia.plus.com/mo… its so odd ... i might just forget about the loader, just change the scene order and see the difference, no reason for it at all! what do u think of the site?

Yeah nice site Scott.
Seems to be you might be confusing flash, you're telling it to paly and stop at the same time quite alot. But If it works the other way then I'm not sure.
Sorry I couldn't help mate, I do things a little different.

just a note, scenes are bad mojo, very problematic, even Macromedia advises against using them. You may want to build it inot seperate MC's or seperate SWF's and direct their relationship and sequence.

ya, dont use scenes. put it in a mc is the easiest thing. you can use methods but if the code is in a mc and after the file is done loading the mc is no longer there, you dont have to worry about nullifying that code.
