I can't find this symbol in the ITC Franklin Gothic set. Is it just not there or do I just don't know how to look? (have used win's character map for the search).
Any clues how do I find it.. or how do I substitute it with anything else? Thanks.

I mean, even when I find it by other fonts (like MS Sans Serif - kill me for that) - it doesn't paste it right. What's up with that, yo?..

anyone for this weird problem?

i'm not sure, but i would doubt that many fonts include that character. at least that's why i thought they had special mathematical symbol fonts.

EVEN if I find a font, that contains that symbol (tahoma, oracle, arial, times, etc) it still pastes it as "?" or some other sh*t. I can paste it into InDesign. No probs. I than can save it as PDF. It's still a sqaure root. But when I open the pdf in Illustrator - it's gone. Nothing at all. No "?", nothing.....
So what do I do?

can't you just convert it the symbol into a path, and then save it as .ai?
