So... how far have you ever let a former employer / client push you?
When is it time to say "F off" and "screw your disgusting ethics"?
... there's so much potential for lots of good things to occur with this situation - it's so 50/50 at the moment.

What do you mean by it being 50/50 and that it's a good thing?
I quit a job because the boss was a psycho a** from hell but only after I finished designing the website. He got a website fully designed for dirt cheap and I ended up unemployed (for a few months) and bitter. And of course, I can never ever use him as a job reference.
As for freelance work, this client was being such a major jerk to me. I finished the job at the usual low freelance rate. And he contacted me again with debugging his javascript mistakes and I charged a slightly higher rate -- but I should have charged a lot more since he's such a jerk. Oh well!
