I ahve a Olympus D-490
digital camera - it only has a serial connection to my computer - how do I get the pictures from my computer?Thank you!!

Probably easiest to go by a cheap USB card reader, rather than trying to connect the camera by cable.

i am in a time crunch - plus its a friends camera - its hooked up to my serial cable - 2000 is not recognizing it.
what do I do?

I think an Olympus D-490 uses a Smart Media card -- if you plan to take tons of pictures, you should get a smart media card reader -- or borrow it from somebody. I have Zio and it works great: http://www.microtechint.com/zio/…

I just want to get pictures on my camera to my computer in the next 15 minutes - I dont want to buy anything.
asap - any ideas?

With serial you might need to install the drivers that came with it? Restart the computer with camera plugged in (and on)... pray a lot?
