Flash: Cache fillup

    Hi fellow NTers,

I've been working on a DVD project for 6 months, developing a flash-based encyclopedia. The main core file is a 5 meg .exe and the rest (max. 500 megs) is downloaded during usage. Each subject/area has it's content loaded into a specific movieclip, which is unloaded after use.

The problem is, when the whole project is on disc the flash tends to fill up the cache (my guess), making sounds and general use choppy. It even disables sounds in worst cases.

I was wondering if anyone happens to know of a way to specifically empty the cache that flash has filled up, with anything else than a regular unloadMovie action?

Deadline is in 3 days... tic toc tic toc... :)

    Thanks,

    markus

I've looked through the fscommands in swf studio 2 also, but that's no help. Any ideas?

Come on, some guru's gotta know this. *points finger uncle sam style* Do YOU have what it takes to answer this question?

Oh well, 1 day to deadline so I might as well go with it and call the memory fillup a "advanced feature".
