I'm using templates and I'm having problems with my background images. Some of the cell backgrounds are not being displayed. I'm flummoxed!
The template is doing funny things to the paths of my images as well.
Can anyone shed some light on my problems please.

which funny things?
normally templates and library items carry the ../, that means, one step above, and it's translated on each page "templated".
the best way to build a template or library is build normally on the html, and then assignin it as an special item.
if u try to build directly as a template/whatever, u might have path problems.

Do you suggest I build the page first then make it a template?

true. if u do this, dw will handle the path for u (remember it puts libraries and templates in another directory, and it has to translate the path on each location)
leave it to the machine! :)

And this will sort out the missing background images? I have redirected the paths but still nothing.

ok dude. this path problem is just the mos common mistake ppl do, so i went to it.
any problem, and be the more specific u can.
