4cy -- it is a show opening/main title for a DVD documentary of a 1920s movie star Marion Davies.
Actually it is only one of my projects for my demo reel so it is not the real thing if you know what i mean...

mrdobolina - no i am not in the broadcasting business yet... trying really hard to put my demoreel together still (and it is taking forever!) and hopefully it could get me there.. some day

i disagree with the comment about the colors... i think it feels right... but - id work on your type.. it's hard to read at this size - and goes a little fast.. looks liek you kinda put it on after not as much thought went into it as teh other pieces... the type choice is nice its just how it animates and everything is kinda.. ehh... :) make it as thought out and beautiful as the other pieces :)

taragee - thanks for your comments about the type, I know that's a main problem i have too, just so difficult to animate type on AE and i don't know how they animate type in the 1920s /art nouveau style... but I will try to improve it. Type size : actually the clip I posted is just a rough rendering at 40% of the actual size (720x486) that will be rendered when it is ready to put on tape ... I hope the type will be legible then.
btw What other pieces are you refering to? Do you mean comparing the beginning and the end of the clip?

dont get me wrong its absolutely beautiful - please keep in mind they call me the type nazi at my job :) i just meant to maybe try and view the type abstractly - like how the flowers and other elements are... its has to be legible of course but usually its easy just to see the letterforms as shapes first - it will flow with the rest of the movie ;) i hope that makes sense :P its late here :)

as for the clip
The beginning feels a little weird in comparison with the rest of the clip. Maybe you should give it the same momentum as for the other animated shapes, just to keep it consistent

Hey guys just a note to thank you all for your great comments and suggestions for my little work-in-progress clip... I completely didn't expect i can get something this useful from a message board :-) Thanks again! I truly appreciate it.
johnwoo - i just rendered the middle of the clip so the begining of the leave part might feel choppy and weird compared to the rest of the clip because it was missing? But thanks - I will keep in mind to make the entire motion consistent throughout. :)
