another NYC question

  I have searched the PV-AN but cannot find anything to do with this question so...

  I am coming to NYC soon and am going to be staying for at least 4 weeks. Hotels are very expensive and hostels are full of smelly loud backpackers so I am wondering if anyone knows of any alternative accommodation types?

  Something in between a hotel and hostel, not too expensive but also nice and not full of dodgy people?

  any help would be highly appreciated.

  ps. I now about sub-letting but am not sure i'll be there long enough to be able to do sort out a sub-let.

  You can sublet my place if I'm in LA which i might be ....

  Lower East Side 2 bedroom
  Houston and Essex. Prime Location. I might even sublet it cheap.
