I take it you're a real "Helvetica/Times Roman" kind of guy... :)
T-shirts and jeans were both style trends that just happened to stick around long enough to become standard.
Every trend starts from something unique, gets coopted, dulled down, mass produced, and doled out to the latecomers who aspire to be unique.

I'm all for bright orange hunting hats at WALMART for a buck each. i've spray painted some stencils on them just for fun. random stencils including an IKEA chair, a hot air balloon, an X and more to come.

besides you just get bagged for wearing them - everyone at work thinks it's wierd and i've copped it for the past 12 months....

Actually Im more of a Arial/Verdana guy. Completely unstylish.
Just stating it comes back to the essentials or the established standards. If anything really changes, items are combined more in a flare fashion. A scarf here a holey long sleeve there. Oh I love change. dont get me wrong its those damn wrestling shoes that get me. who thought of that?

mesh caps are only cool if they're camo now.. just look at the skateboarders if you want to know what the next "big thing" is.... right now its unkempt died black hair and tight nuthugger jeans (amongst skateboarders), so look for it to be in a "boutique" near you in the next year or two (depending on how long it takes the lame trendies to catch on).
