Japan is awesome!
Their is a certain chaotic energy that sweeps the streets in tokyo. It can be quite calm in spots as well. The layout of Tokyo is pretty tight too, making every little nook something of interest. It's a treat for all the senses. The food there is the best!

Went last year -- loved it!!
First night in Tokyo a massive earthquake, we were on the 16th floor of a hotel.
Went in early spring, so it was still cold but fortunately I found a use for the hot cans of coffee
from the vending machines -- one in each pocket will keep your hands warm for well over an hour.I have to say Kyoto was better than Tokyo but I guess it depends on what you go for.
Roppongi if you’re up for action --nasty
Ginza & Shinjuku - for shopping.
Kyoto for old Temples

Thanks Johnwoo.
I made some good friends in Japan and we haven't mentioned it yet but food is awesome as well.
I tried to learn Japanese with a book and tapes but it's not easy. I did 6 months at University (evening courses) and although it's not enough it gives you the basis. But it's a lot of homework and I'm too lazy although I would much prefer speaking Japanese instead of html or asp...
