From what I've heard VERIO is the *best* host out there as far as uptime support etc.. what else would anyone suggest? Most important to me is uptime and ability to live through a DOS attack, some hosts just unplug you for the duration of the attack... any other recc for good hosting?

I'm on a shared hosting plan now and the server that I'm on gets attacked every once in a while... my host is small thus, doesn't have the resources to go to the uplink and deal with the problem. So, I'd like to go with someone who can.

i had verio for about three years. they're customer support is spotty and their feature set on smaller plans is totally lacking.
i wouldn't recommend
