Tomorrow morning I'm getting on a plane in SF at 2a.m. ... arriving in Singapore at 10:30p.m (california time). 18.5 hours...
At least it will be on Singapore Air... they have a tv for each passenger with movies, news and video games :D http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/… I heard the sterwardesses are hot too.

i went on a 17hr plane ride last year to the Philippines. the flight attendants of Philippine Airlines are zealots when it comes to making you eat their food (whether you're hungry or no).

i took a 23 hour plane ride about 6 months ago. i bought a cheap(er) ticket so they totally screwed me. I was going to thailand, they sent me from seattle to chicago, chicago to tokyo, tokyo to bangkok, bangkok to phuket, thailand.

I'll be there for 2 weeks. My wife's family is there (actually just over the border in Malaysia)
I have a 1.5 hour layover in Seoul.
The price wasn't too bad ($600) .. because of SARS...

I have flown Singapore Air before. LA to Taiwan (15 hrs I think). They were fine. We got board (go figure) and helped the aforementioned stewardesses (and yes they are) pass out peanuts down the rows.
We transfered to Cafe Pacific for the short flight to Hong Kong, Cafe was the bomb, steamed towels and all.

I went to Singapore on singapore air on a stopover from Sydney to London. Yes singapore air is the best airline I've been on - talk about friendly service. Make sure your TV works as soon as you sit down, some down't work and you're stuffed.
You can even play nintendo games on these lil back of seat suckers ;)

I read that after a certain time of wearing a mask condensation builds up from your breathing and the condensation sits on the inside of the mask and any germs will stick to it. The article I read said you would either need to change your mask every 20mins or wearn 9 masks for it to be 100% effective.
But I guess one mask at 10% effective is better than none ;)

o0o, i would suggest taking along some antibacterial hand sanitizer for the plane ride. forget sars - 20 hours of people shitting in the same hole is hard on those bathrooms. it made me want to never go in there.

yeah, 600, not bad eh? We actually bought our tickets a long time ago ($800). then after this SARS thing started we cancelled them ($50 fee) then bought them again for $600 ..
