things aint going so great in alberta (perhaps banf is an exception)... although im sure there are jobs out there somewhere... and with the mad cow disease scare, im sure the economy isnt going to get much better.
seems like when i had a job, i knew of lots of good job openings... then they disappeared as soon as i needed one.

Yo Canadian, you don't know wtf your talking about, Our economy is doing better then the US right now our dollar is higher then ever and our jobless rate is less then half the of the USA. As for our design it is on par with anywhere else in the world. If you don't fuckin like it move to Europe or the States. More space for me, in the true land of the free. If you think you are so shit hot then contribute something make it better don't just give up. If everybody did that we would be screwed. Why do you think our film industry and television blows and why we have so few good doctors and nurses. And you wonder why people ignore you.

well I agree with the previous post that the economy is doing quite fine here in Canada (as far as i can tell from behind the box). I guess it depends where you are at and your personal circumstances.
Since late January I have noticed a big pickup in available work here at Engine, which is usually a sign that companies are spending more on marketing initiatives (forecasting upward consumerism i guess).

that's too bad about Lotus modern. I've only check for jobs there a few times.
It's a tough market right now. I had 2 full time jobs in the past 3 years and they both were shitty ass design jobs.
It keeps getting worse too.
