Anybody recommend a freeware or shareware prog. for converting wav files to mp3 for Macs?

thanks mennik, I'm not sure that's what I need. I don't really need a prog. to actually play the files, but rather one to take a wav file convert or encode to an mp3 so that I can put it on the web or in a mini mp3 player etc.
Plus, the musicmatch thing appears to be for PC, I need Mac specific.

iTunes can do that.

should work tho. i use musicmatch on my powerbook at work.

In the Itunes top bar go to
Itunes/ Preferences
then click the importing tab, there you go!!
