I would like to see what you all think of the last few paintings that I have done. Don't be afraid to be honest (I'm a big boy I can take it).

The last two looked more like they were posterized in photoshop than painted. I really dug the first one, though. Exciting lines in the face.

ya I see what you're saying about the last 2, I was trying to break free from painting things ultra realistic like I had been doing before but I guess it does look a lot like photoshop posterization.

I actually found the last two more interesting... although it does look like a you were looking at a photoshop image when you did it.
What's cool about those is that it's very good practice, gets you used to mixing colors on the palette (instead of on the canvas) .. this is very useful. You should try that with color too.
Looks like two totally different styles. Both of them have potential though. Keep at it. If you did 10 portraits with that style I think you would discover a lot. They would start to change too so that it didn't look like a photoshop effect.

your ability is obvious but i think the composition is poor on all of them.
The 2nd two look like studies or technical excerises.
The first one is quite nice. Why you've included the arrow and text is beyond me. I know what you're trying convey, urban influence, etc. I think the word "elevate" is dull and obvious. Although the face is more exciting than the other two paintings.A slightly strange group of paintings to show but keep up the good work.

This may be a green comment but I found it intersting that the first painting, elevate, had 'elevate' as a heavy element at the bottom of the piece. It may just be me but I hate yellow and blue together.

The Kinseypainting looks more like a poor copy of a Kinsey than a Kinsey inspired work.
The grey portrait is okay but I really do love the painting of the house, I would love to have that one on my wall.I think U have skills ,no doubt
just keep working, painting and experimenting! U def. are on the right trackmy 2 cent
