I'm trying to stream Real Audio files [.ram] and the damn files are just downloading...
ran a search here, and nothing useful turned up...
anybody have the quickfix or a link to where I could find it? The client wants streaming Realplayer files, so that's what I need to give him... any help much appreciated

does you .ram file point to the .rm file?
the .ram file is supposed to be downloaded. then realplayer streams the .rm file
- unknown0
try using an absolute url in the ram file?
make sure other proples ram files stream properly - so you know it's not a browser / real player issue

alls I got is the .ram file... so the player will pick that up once it downloads? Doesn't seem like there's any streaming going on in that situation... damn audio files.

hmmm... your .ram files should be text files containing just the url of the .rm file but they seem to be 3 megs in filesize.

.ram file is just a textfile with a link in it.
you need make your audio file into a .rm file

ok - i see what you've done.
you need a .rm file and a .ram file to stream.
the .rm file is the audio file and the .ram is just a text file.
you seem to have saved the audio files as .ram files and linked to them.

I just converted the files using Final Cut Pro earlier today on a friends computer... spit out the .ram files, so that's what I've had to work with... can I create the text files and just re-name with the right file extension?

yep - rename all your .ram files to .rm extension
then create a text file for each one just containg the url to the file. (using notepad) and give each text file a .ram extension.
