I don't think so but I maybe wrong.

Did a test and it seems that you cant make a swf have a 0 height/width - both as a swf and in the HTML doc referencing it.
So..........

I'm sure I saw examples where people had that 0 height down to the nitty gritty, but same problems here... for some reason I keep ending up with a few px. height instead of 0 height

What exactly are you trying to do? embed a swf in an HTML doc with 0 height?
If had a zero height, you woldnt see anything...so it's not like you would have seen in somewhere before

Well, that's a bit of a long story, but all that swf does in that particular frame is recieve hold and send data to other swf files in the page. Sort of a hidden placeholder if you will. The construction allows me to bend data into XML-obeject, coherrent to live-datastream put out by AEX and Sigma systems around the world.

I wish I could simply show you, but my boss would reduce poor little me to 0 height if I would. It's all highly confidential...

So, you've got multiple swf's on a single HTML page
Well the obvious angle for me would be to make that little swf a 1x1 pixel sqaure, but make it the same colour as the background it sits on.

hmmm... never thought of that. I'll try and talk my boss into using this idea. Thank you ever so much for helping out MR_T. I knew I could count on NewsToday to help out someone with an 0 height problem.

look in any columns that may be in the same row... or vice versa. remove all the   's from any column or row that doesn't contain info. that may help.

kinda relevant:
could you use css to put HTML content on top of a Flash movie?
or a flash movie on top of a flash movie?
whoa... gotta try that when i get home.

what you can do is insert Flash into a layer and make the layer invisible.
you can't actually make a flash movie less that a certain size.
