a flash mask Q

  how can you create a mask that fades in?..right now i have a few alpha tweens in a MC which i set as a mask in another MC...in playback it just seems to disregard the alpha changes...can it be done?...

  Man I wish masks could contain alphas but nope sorry.

  Only way to do it is do your alpha work to the contents of the mask, not the mask.

  Or use PNG's with alpha channels.

  You can do it by using a shape tween rather than MCs.

  Just change the shapes alpha in the colour mixer instead of doing it through rather than the colour effects panel.
