  I'm trying to change the recycle bin on my XP but its not letting me. anyone know how?

  Its pretty easy:

  Go to Display properties (right click the desktop)

  Goto the desktop tab and hit the, you guessed it, " customise desktop" button.

  You can change the icons for a few of the major system icons there...for folders etc, you do it through the folder properties.
