how do i make a photo taken with a digital camera look like it was taken with a polaroid camera?

Take a polaroid of your digital image.

Adjust the levels/contrast so the blacks are more pronounced and the whites are washed out. The white balance should have a blueish tinge.
And of course put the image in a white polaroid shaped frame...

ok...ps has like a ton of adjustments you can do to a picture. you just have to play around with ALL of them.

duplicate the layer, make an adjustment layer, and play with contrast, also change your mode on the dup to maybe overlay, or vivid light and lower the opacity...and add a noise fillter for some grain(gain)...

Look for a Photoshop action called Polaroid_V1.
I've used it on browserd several times with very good results.
