That Johnny Mnemonic movie was a crying shame, such a good short story and they left out all the good bits, the story ends with a fight on a giant synthesizer, such a pity too because the director (Ronert Longo) has done some really great work before hand (though never in cinema i believe... http://www.broadartfoundation.or… )

The movie as a whole is gonna kick ass, but all im saying from what i heard is that people are getting dissapointed because Neo seems less that what he should be able to do.. thats all.

yeah, i just saw it too...it kicked ass. the best were the highway scenes, ubelievable.
although the first huge fight scene with neo and all of the smiths reminded me of blade 2...it was a tad overdone, and the cg were noticeable (but that's not to say they didn't do a fucking crazy sick job).
awesome movie.
can't wait till it comes out in IMAX theaters.

half-assed kung fu philosophy cannot stand the test of time
by ripping off various 'deep' sci fi concepts this film has weaved a web of conceit and pretense that chokes on its own capitalist urges like a school girl on DMT

I saw it too and really enjoyed it. While the CG is pretty noticable and in some of the scenes the stunt doubles are obvious, its all good.
That highway scene is crazy and there are some pretty interesting revelations about what the matrix is. I shall say no more.

friend of mine at work told me this rumour that morpheus is a bad guy in the 3rd film. I nearlly hit the mother when he told me, heh.
Maybe infact morpheus did die in the first film as the oracle predicted, and the agent smith got in his head as he did say he wanted out of this stinkin world

I saw it... I think it was sort of weak compaired to the first one... Not only was the story on the incoherent side, but the effects weren't nearly as breathtaking as the first. They used very little "bullet time" without serious CG enhancement, which really detracted from the film, in my opinion. Not only that, but there was a fair amount of cheesy comic relief that just made it fall very short of par as far as I'm concerned...

What made the first one so good was finding out what the matrix was. Although they try to offer another great revelation in reloaed it doesnt compare to the first one. its still a good movie though. Except for that dumb tribal dance scene.
