Ey' guys, I'm setting up a G4 workstation here for re-versioning and such. It will be used for 100% print but I have a few questions. First should I get osX .. we have 9 right now and I'll use it if performance wise it's not far off from X. Also, I've got 768mb of ram installed, should I set the RAM Disk "on" and if so what percentage should I allocate to it.. also I'm planning on only installing photoshop, quark, atm deluxe, illustrator and maybe gomac/ftp/few other small utilities. How much ram should I allocate for the bigger apps.. I was thinking 100 each then leave the rest for the os but I'm not sure if thats how it works.. does the extra get allocated automatically for the OS or do I need to tell it to saok up a set amount? Thanks a ton guys, I know a little about the macs and I'm going to be the one doing the re-versioning projects, yippeee... I'm currently on a dual xeon based PC with a scsi array so I don't want the mac to piss me off heh.
thanks!
