any golive users out there know of a quick way to update a bunch of links at once throughout a .site?
for example, i have a client who is adding an intro to her site . . the index is going to change to the animation and the homepage to something such as main.html - so i need to tell golive to change all instances of links that say go back to the index to go back to main.html instead.
i started out using dreamweaver and do not know how to do this in golive. thanks in advance for any help.

If you are using a site file, it's all automatic. If you change a filename, all links that point to it will need to change.. GoLive will ask you if you want to change them all and you say OK...
Or you can manually use the 'Change all references to page x to page y' tool etc...it's all either automatic or you use the tools in the Find palette.. you can search for all instances of a particular site element etc...
Doesnt Dreamweaver do all this too?

I don't think there is any way to do this unless you copy and paste new links using Actions or create a new menu with links as a component.
It's always good to make a menu as a component because any changes are affected throughout your site.
Help at all?

thanks both of you for the reply . . honestly i haven't used either program extensively in a long time . . i can usually just figure this type of thing out, but am confused with golive right now.
i have seen the 'update all pages?' dialouge in the past . . but if i rename something now, it just doesn't come up. also, is the tool in the find palette you are referring to under 'element'?
such a silly thing. thanks again.
