Does anyone know if it is possible to make one .exe out of two swf's, one index swf and another swf loaded into the index swf?
Never seen it or read about it? Is this marvel out there!

Do you mean like loading a swf into a projector file??

yep!
but the thing is I want it to be contained as one exe so people can download just the one file?
Not my idea! the boss has spoken.
My suggestion was to have it on a CD as it is quite large, and also would look really cool with our new brand packaging and so fourth. I wanted to show a clip then if you liked what the company was about we would mail you a CD.
But hey, i'm only a designer!!!

this would do it... you can use it to add additional files and make one .exe, pc only though...

the main problem is with file size and complexity, cos the flash player is a very lightweight player it much prefers a succession of small files to one large one, projector or otherwise.... put all the files in a folder and then zip the folder in a self extractor for example??

MX-OnD i'm almost certain that jugglor keeps them as external .swfs to load in (you still use loadmovie) but it just packs them together into one .exe, which is sometimes neater. plus you can change the icon and a couple of other things.
i've used it for a few projects and have had no problems.

Tell me about flash not beieng able to support large file. I did a freelance ringer job for this company that did a whole multimedia presentation in flash which was very heavy on the audio. It was not my design, but I had four days to complete the presentation so I was not about to go back and start from scatch. Needless to say the playback was less then smooth. It improved a bit when we imported the swf into director but was not the best if you didn't have alot of memory. So long story short. Large flash files = bad mutilmedia design. I mean im talkin 150 meg swf. forget about it. just use director at that point and export as shockwave.

swfs should ideally not be over 500k.....and there's never any real reason to go above that...
