my birthday at work

I know I don't work for a 'normal' company. My birthday today was proof.
9am - arrive at work
10am - handed birthday present from boss ($150 worth of adaptors for my digital camera)
10.15 - get told "Mick we were thinking of flying to Santa Barbara for lunch in the bosses private jet"
10.16 - I accept this gift
12.00 - leave the office for the bosses hanger
12.30 - takeoff
12.30-1.15 fly straight along the coastline past all the beaches from Newport to Santa Barbara
1.30 - Walk to the Elephant Bar and grab a bite to eat
3.30 - re-fuel the plane and return
4.30 - Arrive back at work
4.35 - "Mick you can take off early because it's your birthdayAnd to think... I'm leaving my job in a month. Am I insane? haha

Don't know what your situation is but that company sounds like they care about you. In the past 4 years, I've hardly hear of stories like that ever happening.
If this is true then there is still hope for us lowly designers.
