avi --> flash frame rate

30 fps is what I use, I wouldn't go any lower myself

I wouldn't go any higher than 31fps. Macs have a hard time keeping up with a movie set any higher than that. If you have a movie with a lot of code, and it's set at, say, 60fps, you just may get some script errors.
I found this out the hard way.

Film is 24, video is between 25 and 29.something(depending where you live), and most flahs movies seem to set at 30... personally i like 24, cause film is pretty and its framerate has something to do with that in my opinion... i must admit i usuall do go to 30 if its some designy thing (somehting that isn't supposed to emulate traditional animation in anyway) just because it looks futuristic. Depends on the context. But if you're doing something simple jack it up to 60 (autonoma's comments about that stuff fucking with script should well be listened to though), 60 looks really cool... like benny hill :)
