i finally found an adapter to hook an ipod up to my civic's head unit so im goin for the gusto.
theyre 199 at target and best buy for 10 gig 2nd gen's if you can find them.
score!

Saw your post and broke down..purchased one windows and one mac verison ( one for a gift one for myself).. very cool with the BestBuy protection plan.... good deal .. 2 for the price of one.. I guess this menas no more work today.

Got mine in the store.. went to both Target and BestBuy.. decided to purchase at BestBuy because of the extended warranty.. they only had one Windows iPod at Target .. they had a few of each plus a 20g at my local Bestie...20716.. 20g was overkill for my use.. theipod sure puts a smile on my face.. love the packaging too..

Best Buy in farmington connecticut still has some 20 gig's for windows (can be formatted for mac easily) left for 299.

i talked to two best buys today who told me the old 10 gigs are now $299...he said they went down to 199 and now went back up...WTF...
mmmm a new redesigned 10 for 299 or an old one for 299...that makes a lot of sense....

the price on the old ones went down to 199 to clear them out. assuming they got rid of the old stock, maybe they upped that price bacjk to 299 to prevent anyone from getting tricky and getting a NEW 10 gig one for the OLD price.
in short, the guy is dumb.

i went into a best buy yesterday and saw a second gen 10gig and decided to ask someone again about the price...unlike the idiots i talked to on the phone, he said it was $199 so i scored it...got the best buy plan too....
now im seriously considering making "not work" in about a month and having it replaced with a brand new 10giger!...
