address book OS X

  i recently started really using mac os x's address book, but now find that i have lost all my birthdays from my old entourage address book.

  is there a plug-in/applescript that adds categories to the default address book menus?

  i don't want another address book - i like apple's. but i do want to add a category or two.

  it would be great if it would integrate with iCal too. perhaps i'm dreaming though.

  know of any solutions?

  (i know of birthdayCal, but am looking for something inside of address book - not a separate app.)
