Ok... it wouldn't be fair if I didn't list mine.
in no particular order:
1) The Fall - Albert Camus
2) The Karamazov Brothers - Dostoyevski
3) Candide - Voltaire
Arrggh... I guess 3 is very narrowing. There's many short stories that would probably rank higher than some books (well, in my list anyway).

Dragonfall
Otrherland trilogy
The beach
Winter of the world trilogy

Just three? That's cruel.
I'll say 3 that have influenced me:
* Love in the Time of Cholera - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
* To The Lighthouse - Virginia Woolf
* The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - Carson McCullers

"The Sandman" / "The Dreaming" by Neil Gaiman.
It's a graphic novel but it's one of the best things I have ever read.
- loudubs0
yes, one of last two comic books/graphic novels i followed was 'the sandman' and 'hellblazer', if you remember that one. but neil gaiman, the creator, is a bit sketchy, turns out he's a major Scientologist
