take a look at the pink sky and the way it is built out of circles - how is that done?
can anyone provide some code or maybe even a source file?

it's just a mask. make the circles in a mc. put the mc on your timeline masking the sky.

I'm pretty sure it's juts a simple movie clip with a duplicated tween of a fading circle. You're maybe looking for code that isn't there.

really, this could be done very easily without using any code like jnr_madison says.
if thats the limit of your flash knowledge - then DO IT that way!advantages by doing it with actionscript would only probably be a smaller filesize.

no offence meant. ;)
you'll find that you'll learn more anyway from looking at someone elses work and thinking to yourself "how can i do that?" then trying different ways of doing it.
it's good to have a quick fix sometimes for more complex stuff from sites like flashkit or ultrashock.
anyway - look forward to seeing your results if you post it up here.
