i just recieved a copy of .net magazine to fill out the remaining few months of my old createonline subscription. I bought a copy of .net a while back and thought it was crap, and i'd have to say, its still a pretty crappy rag. who buys this thing moe than once a year out of morbid curiosity?
i havent given it much of a chance so far, but my i'm finding it hard to keep reading after the edgy and revealing story on "the web design lottery", summarized nicely by this quote:
Dan Winchester of freelancers.net believes that the cheaper end of the market will continue to get less expensive. "if a business wants a web site, then there are plenty of people out there who can use a software package to build sites as easily as an office temp creates Word documents"
i can only hope this poorly laid out, directionless magazine goes under quickly and future publishing chooses another mag to send me for the remainder of my subscription.

neeko, .net is the biggest piece of sh*t to ever grace the backend of an MS fanboy's server.
don't buy the hype!
