why in flash does this not work inside a function?

just to clarify... you don't mean an operator do you? I don't believe there is a delete operator... there's a delete action: http://www.macromedia.com/suppor… that's the one you mean?

ya thats what i mean. if you read that it says
"Description Operator;"

i fixed it. it was flash's fault.
