..you go see Massive Attack, and end up analysing the HTML and guffawing at the Macromedia JavaScript displayed liberally on their visuals (which were fucking impressive in themselves..).
Aaah well.
- mitsu0
why did they use html and javascript in their 'visuals'?

well, at least were all geeks :P

yup - any good designer is an uber geek

it was all hyper-ascii art, mixed with textual-statements and information-overload type things... including snippets of code, with our old friend HTML making a much-respected entrance...

My, now there's 'some' insight.

speaking of "you know when you're a 'geek'"...
i recently looked at getting a new ducati monster (street bike). i am up for a new job and if i get it plan on buying one for the summer...
so, my friends' (who's a system admin and fellow geek) father owns a auto body and machine shop...so he's really into cars and such...he has one of those professional systems used to customize cars...he had the specs and schematics for the ducati i was looking at and we began mapping a plan to gell mount a micro-pc (running freebsd) in the seat compartment and running a video cable up to a 3.5" or 5" lcd screen - the ones for watching dvd's in cars.
our plan is it mount an infra-red camera on the nose, display the vid on the little monitor, along with a full system for the bike - including mp3 server, bike diagnostics, gps mapping and all.
:)
now, you know you're sad and geeky when you start planning on modding a street bike with unix.

eh. i've ridden a triumph. didn't much care for it. it handles like a katana. and i wouldn't put my life at 130mph on something that handles like a triumph.
ducati's are ass expensive, but i dig the way they run.
i owned a yamaha r6 (blue and white). that was a good bike...i trashed it on a country road.

"it handles like a katana."
