Can some one please point me to tutorials on how to build a proper html email? To first learn how to build one better, and to learn how to knock out the images if the user's mail prog won't let them view html emails.
Thanks in advance...

I am allergic to "html emails".
Plan text transmits the message properly and links to further content is so much nicer.
Plus, if being all inclusive is important, not all services or clients allow the reading of html, which leaves a whole mess all over the screen.

JazX,
Hmmm. You must be bored... or my post must mean a lot to you for you to reply like this.
Let me say, that I am sorry that you feel so strongly about this post. And let me apologize for my stupidity. I should be ashamed for the pain that I have caused you...

this is why nt gets nothing fucking done. why dont you all post a link every once in a while instead of making smarmy ass comments?
have you all ever looked at a real newsgroup? they acutallly help people find shit. its a rare instance when any real help happens on NT. Fullfront, if you are actually looking for real information about design and digital media, NT is often the wrong site to which to post a question.
these comments are not directed to the few who actually help. I wish there were more of you.

Yeah, I agree, I am losing interest in this site (and I've been here - under a different name, since day 01) in reading the posts because it's all 'SEARCH' google, you lazy f#@*! Don't post, if you don't have information, or at least present it well.

I just made mine in Dreamweaver. Nothing really special, but it seemed to work. I've gotten clients for it (it was sent only to architects and contractors, though).

Maybe NT needs a better search function or a browseable 'Top 20 frequently asked questions' or a knowledge base of 'Editors picks of useful information' so people can find this stuff easier...
Just yesterday there were 2 seperate topics asking how to make PC/Mac Custom hybrid CD's... after a while you get sick of answering the same thing over and over...

Yeah, the NT search facility does suck - I was looking for HTML Mailer help a few weeks back, and turned up very little, so God know where these 'millions' of posts are.
All i can add is: Design to 550px w, keep the filesize around 50k (ha ha), don't use JavaScript, avoid CSS and try not to do anything too complicated with your tables.

thanks for the links and support.
I really appreciate it!

hahaha. mattmattmatt i was about to post the same thing but due to the password mind-fuck i couldn't get in fast enough.
that's one thing i find strangely funny about this forum. fucks take the time to write a smartassed remark when they could have just as easily posted a link, or an answer.... or.... if they're just so pissed not responded at all.
ahhhh.... good times.

subscribe to amazon.com email newsletter and then look at the source - especially the way they do the multipart thing (text and html)
