its like saying HTML for .HTM, in reality it's a format for Cold Fusion CFML for .CFM you will be using either Allaire Studio or Macromedia's Cold Fusion Studio for editing it. ;)

PS, it allows for easier integration with Macromedia Servers, etc. and with use with other applications that Macromedia makes.

in a sense, true. but cold fusion mark-up is simple a text language, and therefore write the thing in god damn notepad if thats what makes you happy.
