AE: Importing .tiff Error

  I am trying to import large .tiff scans in After Effects (1828 x 988) for a title sequence. But I get an error: "AE error: the file format module could not parse the file." (guess thats it, translated from german)

  - Yes, The Original File is RGB !!!

  I get the .tif imported when changing it from 16bit to 8bit. But not in 16 bit !!! I also switched to 16bit in the project settings: same Error!

  Any ideas?

  make sure your not in CYMK mode . If that doesn't work why not save as a psd or pict file
