Hmm.. I thought this thread was about penis sizes, but I guess I was wrong.
the 12" is a great little machine and it still has 1024 at 12 inches.
At home you can hook up a larger 17" monitor but you may need another video card.
I almost got one, but I'm waiting to see if the rumors of Intel making a chip for Apple are true.

i have a 15inch PB, love it i noticed those 14inchers are an amazing deal... totally recco with MacOSeX... don't forget some extra ram... (btw... but this thing blows doors with FCX)

i got one, 800mhz 256 mb ram,
works great, use it for audio
sequencing and communication,
not too friendly virtual wise
but seems stable.
don't count on accurate color
control, nor rendering large
files or 3D though.
it's good for kicking around.

I have a 12" 600Mhz penis, er, iBook.
it rocks hard, but the 8meg video card is shit, and I wouldn't mind a G4.
12" PB is what I'd go for if I was buying today.
iBooks can't span monitors.. .just mirror.

Everything I said above, was about the 12 inch powerbook... NOT the ibook...
That was a brainfart on my part.
ibooks have G3 chips. You don't want that. Get the 12 inch PB 'cuz it costs just as much as the higher end ibook, but it's better.
