Font Reserve in Jaguar

Searched the PVAN and didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

Here goes: When I open Quark through Jaguar, it loads in system 9. Cool? Cool. Now when I open a quark doc it is giving me a "missing fonts" message. So I go to Font Reserve (yay) to try and activate the necessary typefaces.

No go. It gives me a "This OS 8/9 application cannot be run in the classic compatibility box under OSX."

Wha? I thought I was in OS 9. I am selecting Font Reserve from the OS9 apple menu. What gives?

Do I need to get an OSX version of FR? Or is there some way around this mess.

    thanks for the assist,
    bB

there is a os x version of fr, and it has a plugin for compatibility with quark under classic mode. So, I suggest getting the os x version, and running it.

and the way classic operates is not the same as virtual pc does, it doesn't run it in its own self-contained box, there are plenty of systems in os 9 that rely on os X for, ie networking. I imagine fonts to be one of them, which is why fh for os 9 doesn't work.
