  Your basically looking for a soft synth. You might want to try Orion by http://www.sonic-syndicate.com I think they still offer a free download that works with MAC and is a freebie for like 30 days. (I've partnered with these cats for a while) Other than that you might want to try out Reason from Propellerheads at http://www.propellerheads.se that program is crazy sick and I think they also have it for MAC. :) Sequencer wise I would say look at Pro Tools or Logic. Editor wise I would look at Wavelab. :)
