why do clients always use this phrase when trying to define styles? i mean it is always this combo, seen...why is that?
what does this mean? snowboarders, type that looks like it has been scrawled like a madman? porn?
and dont they know that young hip and edgy appeals to 12 year olds, not the 18-30 demographic they are trying to hit...shit i been in that demographic for like seven years, and i want "old, rich and experienced"
...my afternoon rant.

i want it:
worn out, boring and predictable.
:D

depends on the client.
i get "professional" a lot. What the fuck does that mean...? Reminds me of that movie, Ferris Bueller's day off, when the valet parking guy says "don't worry, I'm a professional" and Ferris says "Professional what...?"
Friendly is another...

Yeah cy, that's what it means.
I hate the word hip.

i think the word "professional" is a euphemism for "professional assassin"
i.e. "I need a professional for this job. Things in Honduras are getting too hot for our boys. Can you do this?"

i like the word hip in its original context:
"I'm hip to time man, but I gotta go."
-Wyatt from Easy Ridernow its used as this panacea, and leaves me wondering...hip to what?
- chilaquil0
so if i'm not an assasin, then i'm just some kind of amateur whatever?
- lnu0
I like hips better than hip.

begin project:
"we want young, hip and edgy"
mid project:
"I don't understand."
end project:
"we want worn out, boring and predictable."

mmm, young edgy hips
client like to use buzz words, makes them feel important, and makes them feel like they designed the site

"young, hip and edgy"+= Bevel-Emboss/Drop Shadow/3d Text/ FlyingSpinning Junk everywhere and gigantic text. Ugly color combos if possible are a must, lemonish yellow, purple with lime, yeah...
Not that it's young or edgy, but that's usualy what they have in mind.
- Redmond0
Or maybe it is, I've personaly always tried to hard to be "hip".
- dsmith70
i am sure that the 12 year old demographic creates 75% of the revenue for the entertainment industry
- Redmond0
But sexy pixel, that's no good. The spirals aren't even spinning and the text is not moving enough. :(
Also the background should be some kind of self-rotating loop so people won't get bored while they read all of those 2 lines of text. But I love the pure basic color thing you got going there.
