i've been a mac designer all my life but my new gig is all PC. i'm trying to be open-minded. are there PC-specific design resources i should know about? is there a free mac to pc font convertor? thanks.

just did the switch a year ago... was a little slow at first, but caught on quickly and even prefer PC now (don't hate me)
I still have my G4 at home, but only use it for audio stuff now.
I found that I had to abandon my mac fonts and search for all new. It's good to start over though.. It forces new ideas.... A great font recource

i've always heard i shouldn't use truetype fonts for printing. is this still true?

a) truetypes are working fanatstic at a pc.
b) if you make sth ready to print convert them into path
c) FONT CONVERSION FOR FREE IS POSSIBLE: crossfont (try to download it at www.download.com). its a pc tool where you select the files to convert. check adobes reference table for font names... but the kerning will not be the same in any way. that costs a lunch!
