just a simple and nice question: how do you rate the working conditions in agencies located at australia? good? bad? what if i wanna move there... is it worth it? do they pay nice amounts? or another slave who'll join the continent? and what are good agencies there. i DONT want to google for that, i want personal impressions.

As an ex-pat in london. I got to say its pretty nice down there for alot of reasons. Its also got alot of things wrong with it.
I cant really judge about agencies nationwide, really only the melbourne ones(where I worked) but like here there are alot and they vary in size and in quality.

tax is very harsh on non residents...and they have clamped down on non res getting any of it back...I think I got $190 bucks back for last year!!!
And the tax was almost 50%....

Tax is harsh in australia..but thats to pay for good hospitals , unemployment benefits and roads and stuff like that.

The guy asked about cost of living over there and for me the higher rate of tax was a factor I hadn't expected. You earn less than in europe, cost of living is cheaper, quality of life is fantastic but you pay a higher rate of tax. Must be related to lower population...they use that to explain the stupid bank charges too! :)

I've just returned to the UK from Australia. Standard of living is way above the UK. Respect for creativity not so high. Designers have a really tough time justifing their work to clients etc. Still worth a visit. Oh, slight complacency problem too, blame the sunshine.
