we are hiring for print and structural artists. you are over qualified and wouldnt make very much here, but if you are interested, email me.
the position is in meridian, mississippi. pays probably around 25k. cost of living here is pretty low. the job is solid with great benefits, but again... the pay is not so great for someone with your experience.
i cant promise anything one way or another, but hit me an email and ill fill you in some more if you are interested. if not, then best of luck man. your portfolio looks great!

join the club.
there seems to be a lot of jobs in LA though. if youre good.. which you are. cost of living is rediculous though. even if you make a lot here youre still broke.

for the bad rep that the city has, there is probably more hometown pride here than anywhere else ive been. ive lived in the metro area for 12 years now (2 in the city) and it just attaches itself to you. youll always want to represent the city no matter where you go

mcLeod,
one creative advice:
loose or replace the sounds on mouseover/out/down events. They are not going well with the whole site style and your work.
Job/Opportunities advice:
You might be discouraged to find a job today anywhere in the US, since it seems that people with experience have no chance for a job since companies look for people that will work for $12-$15 per hour.
My advice is, try to organize your work, come up with a marketing strategy, define exactly 2 or 3 types of clients you want to work with and go for freelance work until this horrible economy improves.
I'll give you an example:
Here in AZ, I know that cars and real-estate are 2 major industries that have money. So I'm firing all my guns at them in order to get quality work. Look around you and pin-point 2 or 3 industries that have financial resources to aggresively approach marketing. They are your clients.Don't be surprised if some of them offer you a full time job or at least an arrangement for a year for example.
If all fails, go for non-profit organizations (preferably government ones). You might get some good money out of those projects in the long run considering that they get payed from the budget.
Go for it and lots of luck. We are all in the same poop.
Sincerely,
Boz
