Hello,
I've been playing around with a CGI guestbook script (originally from http://www.scriptarchive.com/gue…) and need some advice:
Is there any way to back-up the data that's being generated on the actual Guestbook (html) page? I notice that it all clears when I touch the .PL file, which seems awfully unstable to me.
Basically, I'm looking for a streamlined way to have a posting board without too much hassle. Anyone have ideas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
THX.

dude, just read into it, your .pl file seems to be Perl Script. Jus study where it is going and you got it.. :)

Sorry JazX, I'm a little dense in the morning...
What do you mean exactly by "where it is going"?

you could probably somehow orient it so that whatever is uploaded to the page, right, is also being stored in some basic .txt file on a server. Or just sits on the .htm file as well?

so what happened dude?

Thanks JazX. I haven't had the time to deal with it yet today...
You wouldn't happen to have links to any tutorials, would you?
Not that I need hand-holding, but I'd like to have a little better grasp of the concept first...
