If any one has them could they post pictures of what you bring to interviews. Im looking for pretty much everthing from how you bound it, placed it, hung it whatever to how you organized it. Ive never made or seen one so Im very curious. Thanks ahead of time.

Do you mean your portfolio?
Mine is just a straight black A3 portfolio that you can get from any art/design shop. Employers care about what is in it, not what it is made of or how it is bound.

I would disagree with that. As a designer you should think about all aspects of your portfolio. It shows attention to detail and it also shows that you care enough about design and your work. Get something custom made or make it yourself. It may be expensive but its worth it..

a honesty package is essential plus a compilation of your protfolio printed or cd-rom ... can't tell much more... do it your way.

yeah im talking portfolio but more specifically hand made portfolios. Ive seen some like the one at http://www.influxor.com/
but id like to see more. I was hoping to use this as an to display book layout which i havent had an oppurtunity to in real work and also insert a front page catered to the company i apply at.

Your book should reflect you and your design style. Put whatever you think is necessary.

It's probably the same as a portfolio site... it's a container for your work... i.e it shouldn't get in the way... you wouldn't have an overdesigned (fashionable) site would you?

when viewing portfoilos I never pay attention to the case, Im more intersted on the work...

I agree... as long as it hasn't got a tire mark over it... or is completely in appropriate... don't worry about it... k.i.s.s

I wouldn't bother with a table of contents or intro paragraphs, unless you're leaving it behind for the creative director... you should make every effort to be there and present the work in person
