Great link Folkert!
Looking at it for the second day now. It's really inspiring!
Maybe not everyone understands it here as it is all in Dutch, if someone wants to know more or might want to have a few things translated, let me know!
( )
Her writings are very very interesting, some are in English tho.
If you haven't visited already, please do:

this is a very good read, and in English!

yip, different class, absolutely.
There are very few designers with this 'midas' touch, but she's got it.

true.
but she ain't about 'aesthetics-only-design', her works are based on very interesting concepts.
and good concepts are key to lasting and valuable design, imo, i am often disappointed as I see to much eyecandy designers on the web, me included... maybe that's why i don't display my work yet, as most is very corporate for short minded clients I have here who force me to make it all look like 'been there, done that' design.
i consider that work simply as a must to earn my bread..... but i try to push myself to more stronger conceptual design, as that interests me so much more.
maybe that is also why 2A gets so much critique, it is, for the most part, and i think noone can deny it, eye candy. BUt I must also add that we are all guilty for it..
anyway, browsing through Annelys' site is a joy for me cuz of these reasons_

forget the 'but' josimar.
my writings were not to contradict anything you said.
silly me.

wow, that's one talented broad!
But what's with the 3rd person texts?
- jox0
..tricky navigation!

'cause they have been published in magazines and the likes.
but that was mentioned in Dutch only.
she also has a blog (in Dutch) in which she writes in the first person.

really... it's as straightforward as it gets...
hmm..
she could get rid of the browsershakes tho.
- jox0
...and the nasty mix of grey borders + green td's.
still nifty work though, if you dig through the foreign language :)

okay, i forgot your 'but' 4cy, but I was actually referring to a 'midas' touch of design being a balance of concept and aesthetic.
thanks for the lesson though
